Presenting: a three act bill of experimental music and performance, MCed by Megan Easely.
1st: Nancy's Son is the experimental songwriting project of musician and writer Joe Wozny (aka Woe Jozney). Wozny is a 2018 artist in residence at the RecRoom and writes for various Houston publications and live performance events. In addition to improvised music concerts under his name on guitar, he plays regularly with Spencer Dobbs and Merel & Tony. He has a tape forthcoming with Gabe Martinez and Justin Jones on Anahuac Editions in August, and his debut song album is forthcoming whenever the dude who is mixing it can finish mixing it. His new podcast where he reviews intersections is now out on the Mocking Bird Network.
2nd: Jeff Young and Paul Pinto - This July, Jeff Young and Paul Pinto, members of New York ensemble thingNY, are releasing an album and heading out on their fourth US tour of their work entitled: Jeff Young and Paul Pinto, Patriots, Run for Public Office on a Platform of Swift and Righteous Immigration Reform, Lots of Jobs, and a Healthy Environment: An Opera by Paul Pinto and Jeffrey Young. Created in 2011 as a parody of contemporary politics and politicians, the piece focuses on issues of immigration and national identity. Expect a violin, metallophone, zither, cardboard boxes, political buttons, and shiny shoes.

3rd: Closing out the evening in a sonic blur of speed metal love is the free improvisation duo of Rebecca Novak (autoharp, cornet and objects) + Rachel Jane Hulsey (percussion)
