Black Carl & Jack Littman Fall Tour 2013

Albuquerque NM, August 12th, 2013 – Black Carl, a Phoenix-based group of over 6 years, defines their sound as “Desert Soul,” beat-driven and meaningful. Their unique music has been compared to Bill Withers, The Meters and Erykah Badu. Los Angeles native Jack Littman is a prolific multi-instrumentalist writer-singer that blends synths, loops, and Kaoss Pad beats with acoustic guitar and his powerful baritone who has played with the likes of Tapes N Tapes, Avi Buffalo, Robert Francis and Busdriver.

Put these two acts together and you have the perfect storm, better known as the upcoming The Wheel Tour.

"When we were initially approached by Black Carl’s management about putting together a fall tour with one of our agency artists, Jack Littman, we were extremely excited. Both of their sounds are very unique and complement each other’s presence on the stage. The opportunity for Jack to be direct support for Black Carl couldn’t have come at a better time.”

The Wheel Tour will start in Tempe, AZ on September 20th at The Sail Inn and finish up in Phoenix, AZ on October 26th at The Crescent. Littman will wrap up the day before in San Diego, CA. The tour will hit a minimum of 28 venues over 36 days through 11 states including AZ, NM, TX, OK, CO, UT, ID, MT, WA, OR and CA.

Black Carl has independently released several records including a self-titled EP Black Carl (2007), their first full-length Borrowed (2009), a series of 7” vinyl EPs titled The Chariot (2011), The Hanged Man and The Magician (2011) and (2012), and a second full-length record The Wheel (2013).

Jack’s songs cover all stages of relationships, politics, and gettin’ funky. Jack’s newest release, The Remedy, Vol. 1, was released as a download on February 26th, 2013. His previous EP, The Mixtape, garnered positive response across the blogosphere. Jack directs his own videos as well, the most recent being for the Mixtape track “Little Pretty Thing”.
